What does an effective wiki look like?

Collaborative Effort - wikis are collaborative. Each person brings his/her own strengths and contributions to the work. It looks like this:
  1. You are expected to work with your partner and contribute meaningful work to the wiki. You are part of a team so what one person does is shared by the whole group.
  2. Revisions either improve the editing or add additional content.
  3. You are not to delete content of any other person's work unless that content is found to be in error.
  4. If such error is found, you are to communicate via the discussion section on wiki.

Each page will "discussed" with all students expected to add on to the thread.

Visual Appeal - Wikis are public information.

  1. You must have a clear plan for your information.
  2. Heading, tables, graphics are used appropriately and with purpose.
  3. Links need to work!
  4. Visuals should be labled.
Usefulness and intelligent - effective wikis are useful to a wide audience.
  1. Wording is intelligent, meangful, and shows use of proper grammer and correct spelling.
  2. Jargon is NOT used.
  3. Content is historically correct and is presented as a review for Global I Regents review.
  4. Other students can use the wiki as tool for regents review.
